The Hilton hills village is located adjacent to a major residential area; the location of the sculpture is on pathway that connects the residential zone to the commercial zone. Moreover, the plaza is where people shop for their everyday needs, as the First Capital Realty Inc. states that “we are the leading owner, developer and manager of well located, high quality urban retail-centered properties where people live and shop for everyday life”. Everyday life consists of continuous and repetitive tasks that may seem endless. Therefore these tasks are like an infinity that never ends. The concept of infinity is only a hypothetical matter, where the challenge for us was to come up with a solution to translate this concept into a three dimensional form; our approach led us to The Möbius strip. The Möbius strip is a curious continuous surface, with only one side and one boundary component. Furthermore it has a great potential as an architectural and sculptural form, since it has dynamics to reveal the mechanisms of our perception (or rather, its deceptions as in the case of optical illusions) in an augmented space-time.
